the HARE
Here is a quick character sheet of the Hare, the main character in my personal revamp of Aesops' The Tortoise and the Hare.
My personal spin of the Hare is what he has always been in stories. An egotistical and cocky rabbit.
The Tortoise and The Hare: REVAMP
Here is an old story that I came up with years ago. Instead of showing those horrendous boards I decided to re draw the entire story as well as add more drawings. I couldn't be more happier with this new version.

Conkey the Clown : Full Storyboard
Conkey the Clown is a story that I was playing around with for a year or two and I finally motivated myself to draw out some quick thumbnails of it.
Final character designs and bible in the works.....
Summery: Conkey the Clown is in love with Felicia, a beautiful acrobat. However, Rahoul the Lion Tamer wants Felicia for his own and plans on impressing her with a very dangerous act by taming a Saber-tooth Tiger. When the tiger goes wild, it's up to Conkey to save the day.

Moved to California!
Well, it has finally happened. I am a Californian.
I have been a Michigander my entire life and now all of that has changed.
Seeing how the film industry is practically non existent in Michigan now days, I had to make a very important decision on my part, to follow my goal and head out west where the work is, or stay in Michigan and freelance my way to boredom.
It was both a hard and easy choice to make believe it or not.
This entire summer I worked odd jobs to gain just enough cash to hopefully afford to stay in a city near LA for a few months or until I can find a job in my field of art, whenever that day might come. The summer went by entirely way too fast, and I stressed knowing that I may not obtain the right amount to live comfortably across the country, let a lone get there. But I had made my decision, I had to go through with it no matter what.
After 4 incredible days traveling with my wonderful girlfriend (who also made the hard decision and leave what she had always known behind), we had finally made it to California.
Above is a picture of our first night in our new apartment. Some how this image seemed to tell me: You belong here. This is your new home. You will make it.

Squid VS Whale Animatic
After months of working odd jobs and saving up some money to move to California, I have finally found a spare 13 hours and 30 minutes straight to make this animatic of my most dynamic storyboard sequence ever. This storyboard animatic is my ace in the hole among my entire portfolio.

Possible New Comic Strip Series
I was spit balling around with some fun and unique comic strip ideas, and I think I stumbled on to something that I would enjoy to see to the end. It may not the greatest idea but I have gotten word back about how interesting it could be.
The series would be based on Roland, a good natured, 500 pound endangered Galapagos Tortoise, who is re released to the Galapagos Islands from a Zoo. Lacking the knowledge in the ways of the wild, Roland wonders upon a lazy and a grumpy guru native to the islands, Malcolm, a Marine Iguana. Together this odd couple try to make it through typical days with their classic character chemistry.
Still working on a working title for the series.

Whale VS Squid
24 hours. That's the time period I gave myself to come up with this fun idea:
Whale and Squid designs
Whales and squids are another one of those two clashing creatures that just don't get along. They are known to have the biggest rivalry of all the animals on Earth. I did some deep research about the two and I came up with an epic battle between the two. I thought it would be fun to approach them as if they were two super powered beings of the deep.
As always with my exotic animals, here are some unique facts that helped me create them:
Colossal Squid
Discovered in 192o's (in a sperm whale stomach), captured in 1981, and largest on record was caught in 2007 (1,091 lbs, 33 feet long)
It's the largest known invertebrate on the planet
Have the largest eye balls, measuring a little under 2 feet across.
Uncommonly rare. They hang out in deepest and darkest oceans.
They glow in order to submit prey into their clutches.
Have hooks on their tentacles.
Hunted from the 1700s to the 1900s.
Are between 50 and 60 feet long and weigh over 40 tons (80 thousand lbs!).
Uses the unique ability of echolocation.
Can hold their breath for over an hour.
They hang out in deepest and darkest oceans, and is the only whale (and mammal) that does. They can dive as deeply as 10 thousand feet.
Their heads make up 1/3 of their body.
Have the largest and heaviest brains on the planet.
Lifespan: up to 80 years old.
Moby Dick is a Sperm Whale.
